Amy Taylor North
Amy Taylor North has lived in Forsyth County, NC—specifically in House District 74—for 20 years. She earned bachelors’ degrees from Texas Tech University in 1994, and served as senior managing editor of a national health care magazine for over a decade. She is a communications specialist and served as congressional campaign director in 2018.
Taylor North ran for the North Carolina House of Representatives to represent District 74 in 2024, winning 80% of the primary vote and 49% of the general vote.
Taylor North is a go-giver! She’s a proud mom to two young men, a small business owner, a caregiver to her mother, and has been a community volunteer and homeowner in Lewisville/Clemmons for over 20 years. She remains passionate about public schools, the economy/small businesses, women’s equity issues, local art/performing arts and defending democracy. Taylor North is a co-director/volunteer for Community for Public Schools and is an active member of the West Forsyth High School PTSA, the Lewisville-Clemmons Chamber of Commerce, LEAD Girls NC, REACH Women’s Network, Women of Action, and the Lewisville Historic Society/Historic Nissen House.
